The Hebrides revival. People were convicted and went to church in droves not understanding what was happening.

The revival I mentioned really did happen, and the lady in question did get these revelations. I know some will say she just succumbed to peer pressure, but whatever.

As for the ear rings, she had been in the church about a month, and had quit her pants the morning after she got the HG.

She had never been in an Apostolic church before, and nobody had had time to tell her anything.

ANyway, one night during service, I noticed her holding her abdomen with a look of pain on her face.

Finally, while we were singing, she came forward for prayer. I didn't know it, but she had been diagnosed with a bad abcess where she had had a recent hysterectomy. All I knew was that she was in pain.

As I got ready to anoint her, the Holy Ghost spoke to me and directwed me to ask her if she would take off her ear rings before I prayed for her. She had four in each ear.

Well, I balked. I hasd never done anything remotely like that before. But the Lord pressed me in my spirit about it, so i did exactly what He had said do.

I said, "Sister Kelly, would you take your ear rings out?"

If she had said no, I would have prayed for her anyway, because I had no instrrructions otherwise. All He said was to ask.

So she looked at me and said, "Sure."

She took them out, handed them to someone, and I laid hands on her.

She was instantly slain in the Spirit and got up healed, and with a conviction about ear rings.

I know this isn't what Prax wanted, but you asked, so I answered.

i was kidding about the great revival, but the story is true.

.
Resurrecting another five year old thread, but here's a story similar to that...

A few years ago Bro. Bernard had a Samoan lady in his church who came up for prayer. While praying for her his tongues changed and the woman began to cry and say 'yes Jesus. Yes Jesus.'. Brother Bernard was approached by the lady, who said (I'm paraphrasing) 'Do you know what you said to me?'. Bro Bernard - No I was speaking in tongues. Samoan lady - 'You were speaking Samoan and telling me to stop cutting my hair.'

To my knowledge Bro Bernard knows Korean, Spanish, Biblical Greek and Hebrew and Latin. I doubt he knew Samoan.

Who testified of this story? The Samoan lady or Bro. Bernard?

Re: Great Revivals

The Jesus Movement from approxamately 1968-1978. No one man started it. It came sovereignly among the Hippies and young people of that time. Some Churches were involved in it but 10's or maybe 100's of thousands of young people all over America began turning to Christ. Many of these received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We would go out on the streets, to the parks, to the malls, bowling alleys, bus stops, airports, bars, and anywhere that anyone was! We took our guitars and sang and praised the Lord, passed out tracts, witnessed and preached.

We prayed for the sick and I have seen occasions where prophetic gifts revealed the secrets of sinners hearts out on the street. We fellowshipped in homes mostly also coffeehouses and probably lastly in Churches because we were to zealous to be received by them for the most part.

I still have friendships made during those days. I count it as the best days of my life.

Bro. Bernard, in a book he wrote. I've never felt or heard any deception on his part, so I'll receive it from him.
