Re: Apostolic Swimwear

When I go swimming if its at the beach my wife and I get as far away from others as possible. Sometimes we have just went swimming in the River completley private. I always wear a tee shirt and blue jeans in swimming.

I do think its wrong to swim alongside women who are practically naked.

Just for the record, the same amount lust can occur if half naked person was sitting on a church pew with mixed company or that same half naked person was swimming in a pool with mixed company. Adding water would'nt make is sinful.
People lust after people fully clothed.

What sites I find that do have mens swimwear, I would'nt consider modest or holy. Does anyone know of some websites or have any suggestions, thoughts, or advice? Thank you!
1) If your personal conviction is long pants and 3/4 length sleeves then just wear long pants and 3/4 length sleeves that would be comfortable swimming in.

2) If those are your convictions then I would assume that you would have some convictions about mixed bathing. Which if that is the case then as already has been pointed out you would only swim with only those of your own gender or those of your family in private and then your clothing would not be an issue.

You can't have it both ways.

Yes, The point here is.... Finding some swim friendly clothing. Example, perhaps a shirt made of water wicking light weight material. I am able to find many long sleeve shirts like that. Currently looking for the same in pants or really long shorts? The problem here is that everyone seems to want to debate the issue of holiness, tell me what I should be doing, point ourt mixed bathing (Not even a topic I care to address at this time) and avoid the topic that I posted. Back to the topic, in summary, I need to know if anyone knows a good website or place to find swimming clothings that fits in line with the idea of modesty. I find it hard to believe that everyone with convictions just swims in jeans. If they do, great for them... Again, my post was about looking for an alternative. People can follow convictions without getting an itchy rash from wet denim. So if anyone know of such place to make that purchase please let me know.

Honestly, the best swim ware you can find is stuff made for scuba -it is light AND modest. I would seriously look into it.

Definitely not modest. Shows every curve and ....

mdmuenstermann, I don't mean to debate the holiness or standard aspect of your inquiry but to me it just seems to present a paradox.
