To be honest, Coonskinner and I had a conversation about six months ago that really helped me through all of this.

In that conversation he stated that there are three things God will not share with us. His tenth, His glory and His vengeance.

That thought has really played over and over in my mind during this.
Wow that is a powerful statement!

Someone said just today on the radio that the saying, "Time heals all wounds" is untrue. Time can often make a bad situation worse.

And the fact that time sometimes wounds all heels should give us pause, as others have so wonderfully stated. Vengeance is indeed the Lord's doing.

But God in His infinite wisdom and mercy CAN take what the enemy meant for bad and turn it into a blessing.

This is one of my favorite quotes by Bishop Jakes...

He said re the past, "God does not gives us amnesia so that we do not remember the wrong. What He does is take the pain out of the memory."

Only God can do this.

Very good words Barb, I don't know how many times I have ran into a saint of God that the wound they experienced 30+ years ago is still fresh in their minds today.

Healing is a process and sometimes not very easy. We need God's help to forgive, and the hurt doesnt always leave overnight-it may take some time.
