Are we sure Trayvon wasn't doing something suspicious? Zimmerman admitted to the shooting, but do we know if he had a reason to be so suspicious of Martin? It seems the mad rush of our media was to immediately paint Zimmerman as racist, paranoid and crazy.

I am MORE OUTRAGED over the story out of Kansas City where a 13 yr old White boy was followed home, assaulted and LIT ON FIRE by two BLACK boys who were reported as saying "this is what you deserve white boy". Yet this gets NO NATIONAL media attention. No access on "Inside Edition". No lawyers on TV press conferences. No celebrity support. No Facebook flooding. It has been ignored or buried for over two weeks, and now the sheriff there REFUSES to acknowledge that it was a hate crime!

if it had been two whites lighting a black 13 yr old on fire we would NOT BE able to turn on a tv without seeing Jesse Jackson or Rev Al calling for everything but riots.

Exactly - agreed 100% - it is wrong BOTH ways! There should be as much anger over the incident in KC as the one in Florida, but the media knows that most people won't get up in arms about the situation in KC. It is just another piece of news... however, the incident in Florida is used, because it does incite all kinds of people to rise up and riot, and give the media more to talk about. It is just sad.... all of it!

Excellent post.

I try not to "argue" about politics. At times, it may come across thay way. But, it's certainly not my intent. I just like to try and understand one's position(s). Even that can be a challenge at times.

I vote according to what I've researched and match it against my conscience, all the while knowing God will have His perfect will and way regardless of what us know-it-alls think...

Does Hispanic on Black racism have a long history? I don't recall it being a huge problem in the past, though I know the gangs have always paired off by races.

In the context of I Samuel 8, you bet. Since we've already done this a couple times, let me paraphrase for you--

"An earthly king will make you their slaves, and I (God) will not even listen to your whining in that day. Go ahead, Sam, listen to the idiots, and give them a king."

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

Horribly tragic.

Considering the number of similar 911 calls the shooter had made BEFORE this incident, I think racism is a HUGE factor--as well as possible mental illness. Paranoid and delusional anyone?

I'm not a fan of Sharpton or Jackson but this is not the biggest high profile case in the past decade of racial injustice and they DO NOT all end in riots or violence.

I do not believe this case will end up that way. Even though I think there's certain pundits on BOTH sides that would love it to end up that way.
