Is that a yes? Is it correct to say that God is a baby-killer?
Timmy, I'm not sure where you're trying to take this, but I'm not going there with you. There is no question that God does things that I do not really understand, but that's why He's God and I'm not. I trust Him COMPLETELY... I trust His Word...
I ran my life my own way for nearly 17 years and it wound up in shambles. I rebelled against the ways of God... I rebelled against the Word of God... I even finally came to the place that I questioned whether there is a God... Finally though, when my heart stopped on a trauma unit gurney and I was revived, I was ready to surrender. Timmy, I surrendered my life to God and submitted it to Him and He completely transformed me and through my submission to Him, my life finally found purpose and meaning and today I trust Him above anyone or anything, especially above myself. I've had many tragedies in my life, but I still love and trust my wonderfully good God.
I'm not afraid of answering your question at all, but I feel like you're trying to lead this conversation somewhere that I don't believe we need to go.
God did destroy men, women and children alike.
That same God preached to those in prison, after He had given His life for us...
Fear not the one who can kill the body, but the one who can put both body and soul in hell.
Timmy, I will not mock God or the Bible along with you.
As much as I like you.
Closest I'll get to a yes, I suppose.
I'm not mocking God. The Bible? Not sure I'd call it mocking. Challenging the belief of its infallibility and inspiration, sure.
If it's offensive to think of God as a baby-killer, I really don't understand why the Bible doesn't offend you. It's how God is described in the supposedly true descriptions of what He has done.

Timmy, if God chose to "KILL" everyone on the face of this planet, it's His sovereignty that gives Him that right and He alone and it would not in anyway change the fact that He's STILL a good God! Mankind is in sin and because of that sin we DESERVE whatever God decides to give us and if that's death and hell, then that's what we deserve. However, Again Showing His Goodness, He provided a way out by taking on flesh and receiving our punishment upon Himself. He didn't HAVE to do that! If He didn't do ANYTHING else for humanity, He's already done more than enough at the Cross. Believe it or not! One day you will and I sincerely pray that it's on this side of eternity.

When you are filled with the Spirit we can discuss this more.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

You are correct. You don't need to go there. You don't need to respond to my questions, either. In fact, you may need to put me on ignore (if I'm not banned in the near future!). Some people are secure enough in their beliefs that they don't mind exploring other possibilities. Some are not. That's fine.
I just think it's funny that some will say they believe the Bible, and yet they are not comfortable in drawing logical conclusions from what it actually says.
