I am going to DC this fall for the first time, courtesy of my brother. I am pretty excited about that!
Also, my daughter and I received a gift certificate for Christmas for a weekend at the coast, and my extended family may go to the mountains for a few days together this summer. We have friends who have a cabin we can use. The great thing about CA is you can pretty much be in all different environments within two hours.
On the flip side, my daughter will be going to Guyana on a missions trip in June, and then she is going to Sweden to see friends toward the end of summer. I'm not jealous, really.
We were thinking about going with a group from our church in September to Pigeon Forge. I'm not sure yet if that's going to work out. We'll have to make a commitment by July if we are going so we still have a little time yet to decide.
Tina
If you and your family come to Pigeon Forge let me know and my wife and I will meet and buy your family dinner.

Got things together and we are headed to Florida June 15th.
Ft Lauderdale, followed by a short three day cruise with stop at Nassau/Paradise Island, Bahamas, then a day or two at Disneyland.

We like to take occasional long weekend trips. Usually not very far.
We also like to travel with one or more other couples to share gas expenses.
This summer we intend (Lord willing) to take our two year old on a little vacation over on Prince Edward Island... take him to some kiddie rides.
And also, Lord willing, we plan to go to Boston with another couple.
We have thrown around the idea of going to FL with another couple, in December... but it's still in the idea stages, and I really can't see it happening this year. I would love to go, have never been.
We'll see. Nothing is ever set in stone in our household... and with the rising prices on everything, we may just stay home and plant a vegetable garden instead.

Planning a short cruise plus a couple days on the beach soooooon!
Possibly Italy in September... Lord willing and ... a few other contingencies
Italy is not happening.
I will go back though in the next year or two, Lord willing.

I am vacationed out for now! After 12 days on the Kenya trip, a week at home and then a week in Aruba for the wedding, I don't even want to think about another trip for a while. In fact, I have spent the entire evening cancelling our plans for Hawaii in September, just because we need to be HERE! I still have a trip to Costa Rica coming up, but that's a work trip for missions, so I'm going to still make that one, Lord willing. I never thought I would get tired of travel, but I've just about met my quota this past month.
