I'm not getting into this discussion, sorry. I don't really care what other people want to believe. I know what God has been to me, what He's done for me, what's He doing for me......
The only reason I engaged on this thread, in the first place, is to voice my belief that each individual (vessel) empties themselves out in different ways.
God will not put new wine in an old vessel. There is a process, for some, involving repentance. That is my point.

KW, what about those born without the mental capacity to repent? Are we going to base our theology on that? I think it's best to rely on scripture for our positions whatever they may be.

I don't think so. Only God knows the capacity of ones heart to recieve. I firmly believe babies, children, and those with diminished or underdeveloped mental capacity rest in the arms of God.
