To try to answer your question, Let me ask you a question.
What do you do with scriptures like: "Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated" or (paraphrase) "If you don't hate your family you cannot be my disciple" ?
Do you try to find out what it really means or do you go ahead and hate your family?
To be honest, there are many scriptures that I just don't accept, anymore. I've given up on the bending over backwards that's needed to make things like that make sense. Some people reinterpret them, thinking they mean something very different from what they say. You have claimed that the KJ translation is wrong. That could very well be the case, but I don't know of any translation that doesn't say, in one way or another, that God hardened Pharaoh's heart, or that he killed Uzzah, or killed thousands (millions?) of children, etc. Except yours, that is. Hard to say for sure, though, since no original manuscripts of anything in the Bible still exist, far as I know. Everything is a copy of a copy of a copy, who knows how many generations. Mistakes were made in who knows how many transcriptions. Did a scribe (or the KJ translators) turn God into a mass murderer and a show-off? Was it an accident, a slip of the pen? Was it intentional? How many other errors are there in today's Bible?
Now, can you answer my questions (other than by asking a question)? How do you arrive at your interpretations? How do you correct the mistakes in the KJV?

In my example about the word "hate". I simply look in the reference column, and it says "to love less".

The Word is Spirit and it is Life, it is a true revelation of Jesus Christ, but is spiritually discerned. "The letter kills, the Spirit makes alive." When we prayfully seek His revelation from the Word He will bit by bit open it to our understanding. "....here a little, and there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept...." We must come without agenda and preconceived ideas, so that we can see more clearly, at best we still "see thru a glass darkly".

Makes sense. Odd, though, when two people do just that, yet come to completely different conclusions. And odd that the Spirit would give someone an understanding that is the exact opposite of what is written.

If God had intended for His Word to be absolutely without any misinterpretation maybe He would have broadcast it in the sky and updated it for each generation so that there would be no confusion. For some reason, He has made it challenging and difficult for us to understand completely. That is why FAITH is so important. But someday we will see clearly and understand fully. The whole creation is to be redeemed.

Jesus distinguished the world from those whom the Father gave to Him. And He said He'd not pray for those not given to Him. Someone is not given to Him. And what about those given to Him?

Ok, Micheal let's keep these verses in context, you know Jesus is speaking of those Jews that were recieving the gospel during Jesus time and 70 AD. You are bordering on Calvinism, the idea that some are born for destruction. Those that did not recieve Him were to enter into age abiding correction. Shall I put out all the verses that declare that God will be "all in all", "everything in the earth, under the earth and above the earth"?
