Herein lies the whole reason WHY I am not going to the Winterfire 2010 event here locally this weekend. Because the last time I encountered UPC people, including a pastor, from up here they treated my daughter and myself like we were something they scraped off their shoe.
And I will not subject my family to that. There are a lot of folk in the UPC that I admire and enjoy freindships with, but the org itself? I wish them revival and a move of God, but they can keep their elitism... not interested.
And the funny thing is... me and mine live up to all their standards... what a gas.
But John, that's just because you are a "freebie"!! LOL

A funny story about this , when I was 15 or 16 my family and I were in Holmes county Ohio in a cheese shop. There were two Amish girls working behind the counter and they wer talking about my brother and I . I said Ich ferstehe Deutch. They both turned red and ran away.
