No......one day we will stand before a righteous God and be judged by HIS Word. I don't have a standard to set, God gave us his Word and our obedience/disobedience to his Word will determine our eternal reward. If it were up to me.....everyone would be saved......but God is an exclusive elitist according to some.....he requires those who want to be saved to comply to his Word. Everyone else will parish.

He is a Holy Righteous God who desires that all would come to repentance. I did not accuse God of being a elitist. I accused you and the rest of the brood of the vipers. You and your type are blind to the truth and your leading people to carry burdens they were never meant to carry.

Sorry Bishop scripture does say you will be judged in the manner you have judged.

Re: He is Still Oneness Pentecostal In Heart

The truth is this. Jakes presents Christ to more people every week than a typical oneness pentecostal chruch does in a year or years.

The relatively tiny oneness pentecostal sect which is criticizing him will meet behind closed doors, shutting out the very people that need to hear about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Jakes takes the grace message to a hurting world, while the spiritual elitists condemn him for it. The spiritual elitists in Jesus' day were critical of taking the message of the gospel to the people also. They also practiced the closed door method but Jesus came and destroyed that to the chagrin of the pharisees. The modern day pentecostal pharisees differ little in their 'look how holy we are' self-righteous religious attitude.

1. Bishop Jakes was NEVER PAW.....they wished he was, but he was a Member (was consecrated a Bishop by) Higher Ground Always Abounding Assembly based out of Columbus, OH.

2. Bishop Jakes (whom I know personally) was NEVER traditional Apostolic Pentecostal, though he was solidly oneness and did baptize in Jesus name.

3. Up until a couple of years ago, I referred to Jakes as soteriologically Apostolic by practice but not by belief. In other words....if you were to be baptized at his church, you would be baptized in Jesus name, however, if you came to his church having already been baptized (Trinitarian) and never saw your need for rebaptism he was fine with that. Now, however he allows baptism according to the candidates wishes.

4. January 25, 2012 In The Elephant Room discussion with James MacDonald and Mark Driscoll, Jakes stated that his theology had progressed to a point that neither oneness or Trinitarian dogma "totally get it for me." Prior to that however, he had affirmed one God in three persons. (This incidentally was at the same time when Lifeway Books had threatened to pull all of his books from their shelves because they saw him as teaching heretical oneness doctrine.....me thinks Jakes is a suave business man.)

5. Bishop Jakes is a tremendous orator, (I personally enjoy listening to him) and his sermons have been preached by more Apostolics that probably any other modern day preacher. That does NOT mean he is anointed, preaching full truth, etc.

6. If you are already saved.....you may hear something from Jakes that will edify you and help you.......but if you're not saved already......he will not tell you what you need to hear to be saved.

Remember y'all the Bible talks about "another" gospel (2 Cor. 11:4, Gal. 1:6) The "other" gospel makes lives better, the real gospel transforms lives. The "other" gospel helps you smoke, drink do drugs less, keep your lust under control most of the time, the real gospel breaks the addiction, and sets the captive free, they are not recovering they are delivered.

Fire away!
My friend Elder Gary Blankenship says the same. They too were neighbors and friends.
