Looks like the atheists claim this is establishing a religion.

Still doesn't change the fact that students are not forced to say it. They can easily opt out.

JW's have been allowed to opt out of the pledge.
I would imagine any parent could get an exemption for his or her child to opt out.

Re: Way To Make Us Proud Ms. Angle!
Isn't belief in the various types of "evolutionary theories" as much of a religious belief as belief in the various types of "creation myths"?

Yes, any child can opt out if they get permission from their parent or guardian.
Thus, students are not forced to say the pledge in school.

No. We know that evolution does occur. There is factual evidence for this. I have yet to see the evidence of a human being literally brought to life from dust or from a rib.
Now, if you want to say that "He made it from the dust of the ground. Then he breathed into it the breath of life" is simply a metaphor of how we are made from the same elements that make up the Earth, and that the Biblical creation process was how the Jewish people wrapped their heads around what they could not possibly know, that makes more sense.

No one has ever observed life forming from non life. Ever. And we all know it. We all are aware of mutations. We can't find mutations that cause new or novel structures.

You are correct. It is evolution "theory". This evolution was not actually observed. It is inferred by extrapolation.

No, but we are getting close.

Life, more than likely, arose from a combination of materials around it. Just because we have not pinpointed the exact method doesn't mean generations down the road won't. It just means that we are not scientifically advanced enough to know exactly yet.

Darwinuism teaches common ancestry. How did yeast "form" itself and become sel;f replication on it's own? No human involvement?
