Here is an interesting fact among the Jewish Chasidim. They have very strict rules of conduct and keep all boys and girls separated from each other at all times, except for family members. Marriages are arranged, there is no courting, with boys and girls attending separate schools/yeshivas.
So what happens to these highly sequestered Jews who aren't allowed to spend any time with the opposite sex? When they become teens, and the sexual urges come upon them, they often self-experiment or experiment with members of the same sex.
How secluded of a life did Josh Duggar live? How much did his parents not tell him regarding the "birds and bees"? Sometimes a more restrictive atmosphere causes its own set of problems.
If and since he had no outlet, and if and since he grew up in a very conservative home, and if and since such a discussion is not common between very religious parents and their children, is it any wonder the poor boy's flesh got the better of him?
Name me one person on the planet besides Jesus Christ, who is old enough and physically able who has never participated in some form of lewd or perverse sexual behavior at least once in their life, or at least thought about it. Anyone who wants to crucify Josh Duggar for this ought to join him on the cross they're preparing for him.
It doesn't mean what he did was right or okay. But only someone without sin should be casting the first stone.

The sexual abuse is just a cover and an excuse for the left to use to beat this family up, in my opinion. Of course those on the left are guilty of the same... a prominent liberal named Lena Dunham has admitted publicly to doing very similar things growing up with no backlash to her.
But you are right - he who is without sin, cast the first stone...

Several years ago, I worked for a third party call center for Comcast. In my training, one of the managers showed how we could look up any customer's billing statement by name with the software we would be using, and see, for example, what movies they had ordered over the last month of service.
He then proceeded to look up the billing statement for a married, NFL two-time Super Bowl MVP to show us how much pornography this man purchased.
The point? Most everyone has some sexual skeletons in the closet. The individual members of the media are not excluded. If we could get records on all the people trying to destroy Josh Duggar, what might we find? How much of their perversion, sadly, was and is legal?

Re: Duggar interview
A few years ago a man lived next door to me. He had been in prison for killing two men. He had been an enforcer for a crime gang. He was drinking and doing heroin. We were witnessing to this man whenever we could trying to help his faith in Christ.
Once when I was telling him about Christ's forgiveness he said he had done so much evil he did not think Christ would forgive him. In an attempt to show how great the mercy of Jesus is to sinners I proceeded to give a part of my testimony very few had ever heard.
How that when I was five years old a boy down the road had molested me. Five years old. As time went on I met others who did the same to varying degree male and female . And to my everlasting shame I also did to others what others had done to me. We lived for years in a neighborhood that was a hotbed of lust among the young people.
This went on in my life for about 9 years. By then I was 14. I had been in deep sin since I could remember. Now some years before I became a Christian our family moved into another neighborhood very different.
In this neighborhood it was very violent. There was as far as I'm aware of none of the insanity of the kind of dark sexual sin I had been in. It was a step out of that lifestyle for me. Yes they had "normal" sexual sins but in this neighborhood no one would dare to do the things that were normal in our former hood. One probably would have been beaten to death for such things.
So God in mercy delivered me at 14 from the hellhole of life I had lived to that point. There was still a life of deep sin ahead of me for 6 more years but even drugs, alcohol and fornication was more decent than what I was involved in.
Now when I gave this testimony to my neighbor it was in hope that he could as I had done decades earlier believe Jesus came to save sinners and would forgive even the most wicked.
Well later a friend of his told me he had said "everytime I see my neighbor I want to throw up".
So this man who seemed to desperately want mercy from Jesus was so disgusted by my sin he for a while hated me for MY SINS! He was hoping for mercy but was not willing to allow it for others!
And now my Apostolic friends perhaps I can you help you understand my passion for Jesus Christ. Why I may seem fanatical about him.
Consider this:
Luke 7:36-47
36And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. 37And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
I am a case such as this. My sins were great. Gods love was greater, thank God.
My hope is this Josh Duggar will walk in the forgiveness of Jesus (if indeed he is a believer) and those he brought into sin may also know it.
And yet some like my neighbor that day will never be able to forgive even if their own sins mount up to the Heavens.

Powerful testimony. It was powerful not just that it demonstrated God's grace in your life, but it also shows the depth of the hypocrisy in others like your neighbor, and my cousin.

Again, you have a 14 year old son who comes to you confesses and asks for your help. What are you going to do? How do you want your church community to help him?

Re: Duggar interview
Awesome testimony Bro. Mike! Only the Lord can take the sordid details of the past, and turn them into a testimony of his grace, mercy, love and forgiveness!
Like votivesoul said... the closet holds skeletons for every one of us... and if everyone were to have their past thoughts and deeds displayed on a screen for all to read.... who would be throwing stones? All of us would be ashamed at the things our heart has been guilty of... yet only in Christ do we find hope!

I wonder to if Fionn will now label MTD a "child molester".

Right. Because many seem to hate these people who are only trying to do their best to live for God and stand for what is right.

Thank you for sharing your testimony, brother. I am glad to read yet another story of God's deliverance.

I know I wouldn't want my sin broadcasted!

Probably.
