One tip, though, if you're going to chop up a long passage, "copy" the phrase [quote ], and then you can just paste it in. And when you're wanting to end the quote, all you have to do it paste it in, and then type in the /.

Yep, I'll have to employ the ole "copy & paste" technique....which I only learned about a year ago. Yes, I'm computer pathetic. BUT.....I type a decent bit over 100wpm so figure that out.

I currently splice up quotes by using red font, but I wanna do this the correct way and out-annoy the annoying posters!
Did you try this?

You can insert [ \quote ] and [ quote ] anywhere in the quoted text (leave out the spaces), and add your stuff between them. Repeat somewhere else, until you are satisfied that the quoted poster is thoroughly pwned.

Re: What Does It Mean To Be "Meek?" Who must be me

Quick tip: It can take time to slice a post, but with long posts, I copy the [ quote = username, etc ] and paste it (ctrl+v) to the areas I want to slice the post, then I'll copy and paste the [ /quote ] to where I want to end that section of the post.

Still takes a minute, but using the shortcuts saves having to type it all out.
