Are Apostolics People of Conviction

I was just thinking about this, there seems to be quite a variation in convictions among the members of aff, i personally know many of the members and they are truly people of faith and conviction. At the same time i find many on here who seem to have faith but very little conviction. It would be interesting to hear your comments on faith and conviction. I believe they are married and totally inseparable as the foundation of a true walk with Christ, waiting to hear your comments, dt

Re: Are Apostolics People of Conviction

I believe convictions are personal. I may have no problem with something and yet that same something may cause you to fall and vice versa. God will convict us of something if it interferes with the walk you desire.

Re: Are Apostolics People of Conviction

it might help if we understand i dont mean personal convictions, i mean the conviction and passion to honor our faith in word and deed, many people believe in god but they have no conviction in there faith, it matters not in there daily lives, maybe that will help, dt

Re: Are Apostolics People of Conviction

aahhhhhh... sorry.

I see what you say now. That is a ........... I don't know what to say, maybe some just simply don't believe God has to be as dominant in everything they do as others.

At the same time I think some are guilty (me especially) of allowing the hectic lives we seem to live now take away from our walk with God.

Re: Are Apostolics People of Conviction

And yes, I believe Apostolics are people of conviction. Maybe not as "showy" as say Catholics or Budhist. But for the most part we try to live our lives step for step in the Spirit than most.

Well, all kidding aside (most kidding, anyway), I do have conviction. Strong conviction. Just wrong conviction!
