Remember Darcie - Daniel A's sister? She hasn't been on here in a long while, I don't think. But she and JC have been such a blessing to our church, and to think I met them through AFF!!!!
Anyway, our music pastor has been on vacation the past week, and Darcie has had to lead worship three services on Sunday and then tonight. I just want to brag on her. She is AMAZING!!! Such anointing and grace. If you were visiting you would never have guessed that she wasn't the "normal" worship leader. The power of God came in such a strong way in every service.
I just wanted to brag on her and thank God for letting me meet her through AFF!

Cool. Good to know there is that kind of backup available! I hope she reads your post. I almost met Darcie but then you and her punked out of coming with DA to have dinner with some AFF folks here in Nashville some time ago.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

So, you're saying she's not normal? Well, being Dan's sister, I suppose....

I was privileged to attend the morning worship service (The Blend?) at L&T church in April. Darcie led the worship service and I gotta tell you... Well, the truth is, the service wasn't quite what I was used to. And as service was about to begin, I really didn't know what to expect. But, as Darcie sang the first note, and spoke the first word, an awesone spirit of worship filled the building. There was an air of professionalism and spirituality that I found to be condusive to worship. God was certainly in the house. Sis Darcie and all the singers and musicians were used of the Lord to bring the congregation into a great spirit of praise.
Bro. Cupples preached and, I gotta tell you, the impression has remained with me to this day. Neh. 2:5-10- Goal, Time Table, Authority, Plan and Purpose.
But this is about Sis Darcie. A dedicated singer for the Lord that, I believe, loves God and His people with all her heart. An asset, not only to L&T church, but a valued and much appreciated asset to AFF.
