I just finished a book called "The Slave Across the Street" about a young, middle class white girl who was blackmailed for a sexual situation with a young Arab boy in her school. After that, she had to sneak out every night and was prostituted all night long, sneaking back into her house before dawn. They kept her participating because of incriminating pictures that she knew would get back to her pastor/choir director and ruin her parent's business.

Her story is so horrible, it's almost unbelievable, but it's true. She said that several girls in her area (Detroit area, I think) are lured into the same situation by really nice looking, suave Middle Eastern boys and then are blackmailed for years.

BTW, these were not Muslim Arabs. They were a Christian Muslim sect of some sort!

Yeah, I knew. Not so shocked. Kinda wish I was. Not as bad here as in other places, but it is here.

Unfortunately, I am not shocked by this. I live right outside of Toledo. One of the young men that I grew up with in the Apostolic Church has a daughter who is now in prison for trafficing in young girls in a prostitution ring. She was part of a group of people who were all charged a couple of years ago. This ring spread from Toledo and went as far as Pennsylvania. Very sad.
