Unfinished Scriptures
The way some folks think, it would seem that they think some scriptures were not complete and when they quote them they have to add to them.
Examples...... (The part in red is what some feel they have to add to the simplicity of certain scriptures.)
Ac 16:31* And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
(as soon as you get baptized in water, in Jesus name and talk in tongues.)
Ro 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(if you go ahead and get baptized in water, in the name of Jesus, by an Apostolic Preacher who is living right, and then talk in tongues.)
Ac 2:21* And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(if you go ahead and do all of the pentecostal works and live holy and be perfect.)
Joh 3:16* For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life,
(if that individual goes on and does everything else that is preached from the pulpits.)
Why can’t we let the scriptures say what they say without feeling like we have to add to them?
Can you add anymore “unfinished” scriptures?
