Hello From Tennessee...
Hi. I live in Tennessee. I live in LaFollette and I attend church in Clinton. I am a trinitarian. I don't know if that will get me kicked off or not. When I joined, I didn't see any doctrinal commitments that were required for membership.
So, anyway, if this forum is open to those who disagree with Oneness doctrine, I would like to discuss some of that at some point.
I am a Sunday school teacher at my church, the Clinton Church of God (Cleveland, TN).
In terms of doctrine, I am:
Pentecostal: I believe in tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
Dispensationalist leaning: I am a Premillennial Pretribulational Dispensationalist.
Conservative Egalitarian: I believe that women can serve as pastors and preach to groups of men and women. However, I am not an "evangelical feminist" and I do not agree with the concept of mutual submission.
I prefer the traditional Pentecostal style of ministry which explains part of my interest in Oneness Pentecostalism. many of the popular Pentecostal preachers of our day are Oneness or have Oneness backgrounds. These would include:
T.D. Jakes
Noel Jones
Charles Ellis
There are other topics that I could discuss but I will leave it at that for now.
