Howdy from Texas!
I took an internet sabbatical during plowing/planting, calving, kidding, clearing and fencing, and hatching season...but now have a minute to catch my breath and catch up with ya'll!
I hand raised 10 new doe goatlings, 3 bottle calf heifers, freshened a new milk cow, grew up 22 geese hatchlings and an uncountable number of baby chicks, and trained a new Livestock Guardian puppy while on hiatus so it was a very productive time.
Oh and processed 21,000 pounds of corn, butchered a hog and put up 24 tons of hay.
I had a rough go of it for a while with bronchitis, then pneumonia and lastly a leg injury that I have not healed yet from falling through some rotten deck boards and getting what amounts to a crush injury of my left calf. Since I already have a plate and screws in my right ankle I'm pretty gimpy right now and kind of laid up... So I thought this would be a great time to visit for some tea and sympathy
And I know that a picture is worth a thousand words so here are pics!
