So proud of my Aggies.

I have to say that this is just one more time I have been glad that my boys selected TAMU.

Re: So proud of my Aggies.

Althought A&M is philosophically more in line with me I lived in Austin for 16 years so am a dedicated "tea sipper"!!!! LOL.

For the uninitiated that means I am a Longhorn fan!!!! Hook-em Horns!!!!

I do like the Aggies in every area except when it comes to football since they have been such a big rival for UT.

BTW I drive people here in Tennessee crazy by calling the University of Texas the REAL "UT". LOL

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

My brother graduate from A&M. Went on to receive his Master's in Mechanical Engineering. However, when they dropped years of conservatism to endorse Obama, they lost my support forever.

TAMU does not endorse political candidates... and exactly what 'support' were you providing?

The Battalion wrote an article saying, words to effect, "We don't know what changes we will get, but we need change." I wrote a scathing letter to the Editor and to Robert Gates.

I encouraged my brother to apply at A&M (he attended Duke University to finish out his Master's) over UT and he did. So, when I read the article in the Battalion, I think steam came pouring out of my ears.

You can imagine the tension in the room when my brother and my husband (an Austinite) were watching the Aggies and Longhorns play on Thanksgiving. Oy-vey!

Well, we won't be playing against them anymore. Peace in the household.
