I saw that the trees in our City is springing forth Buds on the branches!
Spring can't be far off!
Vancouver had in the early 1900's a thriving Japanese community with it's own Japantown. Now sadly, Japantown is just a footnote in History as the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour & war was declared.
The Japanese in Vancouver had their property seized & they were sent to interment camps. After the war was over, very few came back.
In the twenties though, 10's of thousands of Jampanese cherry & plum blossom trees were sent to Vancouver & so the streets in spring are beautiful!
