Tragedy at TBC - Funeral Arrangements

Less than a half-hour ago, I received a report that a tragedy involving a staff member took place at TBC this morning.

Official word:

The tragedy has been reported as an accidental death of a TBC faculty member. His name is Cai Larsen, Dean of Christian Education.

We have heard that he was working in his yard and either a large branch or a tree fell on him and took his life. He has 3 children and his wife surviving him. We need to ask prayer for the family and the college.

I have spoken to one of the other staff members at TBC and everything at this time points that Bro. Larsen was cutting down a tree in his yard and the tree shifted as it was coming down, he was out from the tree and tried to outrun it, but was unable.

Bro and Sis Larsen have three children, two sons - ages 7 and 4 and a one year old daughter.

Please pray for this family - they are very kind and sweet people and he will be deeply missed by many outside of his family.

From all accounts his 7 year old was outside with him when this happened.

What a horrible tragedy. I am praying for the family. Let us know if they set up a memorial fund for the kids.
