But you said if a gay person gets the holyghost they want be gay anymore aparantly that therory does not work cause JE is still gay or has gay thoughts....
duh, if a gay person receives the holy ghost he wont be gay anymore, if he lets the spirit straighten out his life, if not he aint an apostolic, dt
DT....obviously you've never counseled an Apostolic who struggled with same sex attraction. One can be "gay" (meaning they are sexually attracted to the same sex), filled with the Holy Ghost, be Jesus name baptized, and live a celibate lifestyle. I assure you, there are more of them than you think.
For those who think that gays can simply change their sexual attractions, I ask you...do you believe this because you feel you could conceivably change your orientation and attractions to being homosexual?

This is very true. I also think that's why people suddenly snap and mess up their lives. They have lived with these tendencies for years and maybe no one knew it, and suddenly one day they decide they can't do it anymore and they get into sin. It wasn't an overnight thing; usually they had struggled for years. But we would have all said that they were saved, up until the point they gave in to sin.
Of course not. But what does that have to do with anything? You're talking about rape vs. consensual behavior between adults.
Excuse me, I'm talking about "thoughts" and what may be going through one's mind.
I use an extreme case to make my point. My point was obviously made.
Homosexual behavior is not only unbiblical it's unnatural. The Bible advocates consensual behavior between a male and a female who are going to produce offspring according to the Law of God. Unnatural acts wether they be consensual or by force or coercion is against the personality of Jesus Christ.
Therefore it would not be part of His nature or plan for His church.

No, because that is a weakness and putting him around children would be "leading him into temptation". However, is he sinning by merely having those feelings (even as he tries to fight them and change)? Again, I would encourage him.
I would encourage him to get prayed through, not to seek psychological mind gymnastics. It reminds me of the John Steinbeck book "Of Mice and Men," when the one character Lennie (because of his love to touch soft things) gets accused of rape, due to his touching of a woman's dress. Lennie does not have a problem where he is struggling with a behavior issue, but he is physically mentally retarded. The other character in the book, George tries to reprimand Lennie with warnings to be careful, that he doesn’t forget his strength and kill the soft things (mice, rabbits, and puppies) in which Lennie is found of holding. In the book we come to the end where Lennie ( by accident) kills a woman. I said all that to say this, physical struggle, and mental gymnastics flood hospitals, and jail cells. If we cannot encourage someone to get a hold of the altar and miraculously change through the power of the Holy Ghost, then we are just babysitting Lennie until he does something bad again. When that happens, it is usually not a dead mouse or puppy, but a dead or wounded human being, and a situation that is catastrophic.
