Big church trouble, PO-LICE called in.
ROCK ISLAND, Illinois -- A historic church in Rock Island is once again trying to repair the relationship between two families after a fight broke out at a mediation Sunday.
Moments before Bishop Marshall was set to arrive to mediate between the Parson and Arrington families at the Pentecostal church, another fight broke out.
Deacon Steve Parson, held back from the Arrington family as words of anger were exchanged.
"I'm at a crossroad of what can be the next step, only that I have given them instruction that it's needless for them to try and worship in same building" said Bishop Marshall.
In a closed door meeting with the familes Sunday, Bishop Cody Marshall says the adults were more willing to cooperate than the kids.
"I was successful in getting some of the people that were older to ask for forgiveness of each other" said Bishop Marshall.
"It stems from children and grandchildren, which I only got a portion to standup and say they would stop fighting" continued Bishop Marshall.
Although Rock Island police attended Sunday's meeting to prevent further incidences they say they are, "leaving it up to the church to mediate this between the two families."
The next step Bishop Marshall says, may be a change in pastors but also makes note the issues do not lay in the hands of the pastor. Therefore, a change may still mean problems between families.
"I thought one family should no longer try to attend that church." Bishop Marshall went on to say, "If people keep fighting each other there's a possibility someone will lose their life."
