I am praying for you. My only advice and it is sincere and serious is to ignore those on this thread urging you to take a break from church. The worst advice ever. If you will notice at least one of them giving it took a "break from church " years ago and is still on that break.
If your current church is not ministering to you effectively I am all for you finding one that will. Please just don't lose sight of the fact that the Bible clearly states that God gave us pastors, teachers ,etc for a reason.
More than ever when you are stressed you need spiritual support and guidance and most of all love from a local assembly of believers.

That would be me.
Seriously, I think you need to do whatever works for you. You need to do what you need to do to help yourself, whether that includes church or not.

Best post I've ever read from you... you are so correct. God will never bless us doing something that is contradictory to His Word... and I agree, if this brother is not part of a local assembly that will bind together and intercede with him until there is a breakthrough, then he should be a part of one that will. I thank God for the times that when I was in a tail spin, there were members of the family of God to stand in the gap for me, intercede for me, and challenge me to keep on fighting even when the strength was almost gone.
The Mat... just realize, relief from the pain isn't necessarily always a sign that the situation is better. Those advising you to break from God's people and a local assembly where there is accountability and intercession will tell you since they took their break things got better is somehow evidence that it worked.... but that's just depending on feelings, emotions, and experience to dictate what is best.
Do that which is right in God's sight, honor His Word, depend upon it, and accept nothing less than exactly what God says is His Will for your life. Stand up in the enemy's face... and when your strength begins to fail, call on those that genuinely will intercede for you, and stand in the gap.
And that is even starting by those of us that right now are calling out for you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We agree together that the assignments made against you and your purpose in the Kingdom of cancelled in the name of Jesus... and we declare liberty, freedom, and peace over your heart and your mind... In Jesus Name!!!!!
Matt...if I was closer dude we'd just go hang and decompress....you just need somebody to empathize....not to lecture you...its easy for people to stand from afar and be distanced from the situation and proclaim "Be warm and be filled"...I think its just something you are walking through brother and you need some friends to walk with you....

If your church does you good, you will miss it, and return.
You can get spiritually fed lots of other places, although I agree
with regular fellowship. Unfortunately, we are in a time of scattering stones there. A good case can be made, obv, for refusing to set foot in a church with a mortgage, for example; or one with a cross on the roof. you think Christ would go in there? You only hope He will.
Or, lets rephrase. Keep going to that church, and taking
that yack. This is the def of insanity, to keep doing the same things and expecting a diff result.
Praying for you Matt. I don't have any answers or suggestions for you, and I don't know that you are really looking for any answers anyway from all of us here, as you had expressed that your post may just be a way to outsource your pain.
However, I know that the Great Physician, and the Healer knows exactly what you need. I will hold you up in prayer... because we all have times where we can't pray ourselves at all, and need the prayers of others to strengthen and encourage us.
