Very insightful comment. In my experience many pastors hold to many of the extrabiblical standards such as "no beards" simply to curry favor or gain credibility with certain preachers or fellowships. Over the years I have come to observe that even preachers those others were trying to impress were found to be doing the exact same thing!
Crazy, but true.
