well, JC2 yes but a bit more. i will explain.

Obama has articulated several very clear policies.
1. get protect American business by raising tarriffs.
2. raise taxes on the wealtiest Americans
3. deal with rising oil prices by raising taxes on oil companies
4. have unconditional talks with our enemies.

Points one and two were frist offerd as policy by HERBERT HOOVER in the wake of the 1929 stock market crash. taxes were raised on the rich and the Smoot Hauley Act was adovcated by Hoover, it passed and he signed it. This act was a protectionist tarriff on imports to America.

(these were major contributors to the great depression)

point 3 was first tried by Jimmy Carter and it led to the Oil Crisis of the 1970's which was a major contributor to a ressession and at the same time out of control inflation. (we call it stagflation and it was the worst economic time for Americans since the great depression)

point 4 was tried by John F. Kennedy when he met with the Russians. That meeting led the Russians to beleive Kennedy was weak and incompitant and they put missiles in Cuba. We call this the Cuban Missile Crisis. it was one of the worst failures of the Cold War.

So the 4 major halmarks of the Obama Campaign are failed policies of the past that he has repackaged as "New" and they encompass his idea of "change"

So he is Herbert F. Carter 2!

it should be noted that these anti-capitalists in the Senate, voted this week to PRIVITIZE (READ BE CAPITIALISTS) their resturant because when it was under their control it was a big time money loser!

so we know they KNOW Capitalism and free markets work.

the real question is, why do they run from free markets where oil prices are concerned?
