Re: The other issue with THE cartoon

This reminds me of the funny bailout explanation in pictures that I saw.

The first picture showed a car that had plunge into the canal.
The second picture showed a crane trying to rescue the car.
The third picture shows the crane also falling into the river from the weight of the car.
The fourth picture shows a much larger crane that will attempt to rescue both the car and the crane.
The fifth picture shows the larger crane also falling into the canal!

Re: The other issue with THE cartoon

What needs to happen but won't is we need to vote OUT the old farts that have been there for ever. They get re-elected every year. The Pelosi's and Kennedy's. Vote out the McCains...for voting yes on the first package

BTW I was listening tonight to Obama address congress. They cheered and cheered...but when he said "we passed a stimulus package with no earmarks"...I thought I heard a few jeers....Did he just lie?

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I agree.

Stew,

If I remember correctly, there were stimulus packages back in the 80's and 90's. This is nothing new. I think if you look back we have been on this path a long time. We are just farther along. It takes a while for Rome to fall!

Re: The other issue with THE cartoon

vote the bums out....and vote in new bums. term limits....but it will NEVER happen.

"we the people" no longer really want to be free. "we the people" want government ran schools, health care, police, roads, etc....and so "we the people" have given away our freedom so that we can have these things.

and now "we the people" have to deal with the results of our actions...or lack of action.

No you are being completly accurate. In fact I believe this has been articulated by the President?

Well said...

"We the people" want everything to be okay but we don't want to take the action required to make it okay.

Actions such as thinking with our own brains rather than tuning in for an hour in the evening and letting "those in the know" tell us what to think.

Actions such as being our representatives worst nightmare when they vote in a manner not keeping with our wishes.

Actions such as seeing beyond the 2 party system and making it known that WE are the ones who decides if a "3rd party" candidate can get voted in.
