Got A Great Deal On A Stereo System!

I saw a great deal on a Technics Stereo System that is worth about $500-600
bucks!!!
I paid $120 bucks!
He is an American with a Canadian common law wife who is moving back to Seattle to attend University.
The sad news is this, it was bought within the last twenty years so it is referred to as "vintage audio equipment!"

Sounds great though & when I get the three way floor standing speakers cranking, people know where we live!

It came with an Amp, Tuner, Dual Cassette deck, 5 disc CD player & three way floor standing speakers all Technics brand crankin' out 200 watts!

Woo Hoo!

All in great condition!!!

He also got an invitation to service when he is up visiting his live in girlfriend/common law wife!

Re: Got A Great Deal On A Stereo System!

Nothing wrong with old stereo equipment. My receiver is less then a year old but my speakers are two Polk SDA's from the late 80's. They still sound identical to what they sounded like brand new.

Mine has one less midrange driver and only one tweeter, but are otherwise identical.

You should have posted this on the "How To Save Money" thread.

I should have I guess!
I probably was feeling sheepish for getting "vintage equipment!"

If they are high quality components...not the cheapie stuff. I have a friend that pays a lot of money for used equipment that would have cost much more. He even has a high end turn table to play his vinyl
