I know you aren't talking to me here, but I wanted to respond to you on this, I DO understand what you are talking about. I have had some of the same concerns that you have voiced on this thread and also some of same issues and feelings about those who run these ministries and crusades.

So, I understand where you are coming from. However, I think there maybe a little of the "throw out the baby with the bath water" mentality going on here. Not everything or way of doing something is all bad or all good. There can be instances where people take an idea or concept that may be flawed (everything that we humans do tends to be a little flawed) and adjust or tweak it until they have something that works for them.

I think that from what I am hearing (haven't had time to stop and watch the video) these people are managing to be very effective and are reaching souls. Do you really feel like if they have sincere people that have come to their church, wanting a relationship with God, that He can't make up the gap?

Of course I have, or at least heard of it.

But all of my life I grew up around the mentality that any huge revival had to be faked. And I don't believe that either.

Wow I just spent an hour looking at some of the pictures from the revivals by Brother Downs on his site: http://gowinsouls.com/photos/ It does not appear that He and Maddix are doing the same thing?

I do think if we are ever going to have a huge endtime revival we should be open to reaching huge amounts of people.

Tim is involved in a majority of the Soul Winner bootcamps. They work together alot along with Evangelist David Smith and a few others.
