Maybe you were. But it brings up an excellent point. Preterists, while accurately depicting what prophecy meant to those living in the first cenutry, are blind to the reality of the Revelation's shadows that speak just as strongly to the future. Futurists fail to see the relevance of prophetic fulfillment to those living in the first century while rightfully watching for the Revelation's future relevance.
