Vegas vacation was the only one I really didn't like. It felt like the series ran out of steam by that point.
European and Christmas are my two favorites.
I liked the first one.
I didn't care for the European one.
I like the Christmas one. We usually watch it every year.
I did not care for the Vegas one. I liked it even less than the European one.

So do we!!! It's a family tradition around here on Christmas Eve to watch the Christmas Vacation!! It's priceless and downright hilarious!!

I liked the part in European Vacation when Clark got stuck in the roundabout for hours & said something like, "Look kids, there's Big Ben" each time he passed it.

We were on our way to Nashville, IN and passed through Greensburg, IN and passed the same landmark (the tree growing out of the courthouse) several times before we could get out of the loop.
...I like the part where Clark is out of money at the Gran Canyon and steals the cash register's money and leaves a personal check-couldn't get a out of town check cashed, oh the days before ATM's-and then goes and looks at the Grand Canyon shrugs his shoulders and said, Let's go!!....

Oh man, I hate roundabouts. I don't know anybody who doesn't hate them. And yet, it's the big thing, in some areas. It's like there's a traveling salesman, making the rounds (ha!) at City Halls, or something. But can you really sell a roundabout??

As I recall the St Louis scene is East St Louis,IL**** and back in the day it was a bit too accurate !
I laughed so hard through out my first viewing of the original vacation movie; it's less funny on repeat visits. The dog scene and the old aunt that dies were classics.

Our fair city is becoming attached to the round about....
There is a "corner" that has 5 or 6 streets meeting and it's the one spot it improves the driving experience. As for the others in town...I avoid those areas; truly annoying.
