They also hold the Seagravian view of justification at repentance and remission at baptism.

I think Dan Segraves was influenced by C. Haney, and others before him, in class he would always discuss the history of beliefs in oneness Pentecost and pass out copies of unedited teachings of Urshan, Haywood and others.

But as one (Segraves) who has studied and taught the book of Romans over 25 years you would get the real gist of what Paul taught about Justification.

You're a work of art Dan!!! I love your way with words.
To Barb: KH's family members have a wide range of beliefs with some leaning toward him and others toward NW. When you get that many strong personalities in one place it's a thing to behold. Another bit of information: I received the HG during a revival held by Andrew Urshan and spoke with him many times over the years until his death. At this time [ 1960's ] he still preached for old A of G acquaintances. Those who tend to "rewrite" history don't seem to include these facts!

Will Cohron preached about Moses and Aaron... the title of the message was, I believe, "Who Is Gonna Be Your Aaron" indicating that God was going to get the job done but if we don't step up and fulfill our call he may have to use a substitute and it may delay the fulfillment of His will. Tore me up and made me step up.

Do you recall those robed & bearded oneness folks that collected on the sidewalk outside the convention center... I believe they had left Bro. K Phillips church and formed a commune of sorts... all things common. They were preaching the "worldly" UPC to hell for not eschewing all things carnal, dressing as simple as possible, trusting God implicitly (no medicine) and so on. I got into a huge argument with the leader over this since he was wearing a really nice pair of spectacles to correct his vision. I called him a hypocrite and such... 16 and stupid... who knows, they may have been on to something way back then.

A memorable conference! As I recall TV was a major subject then also.
The more things change the more they remain the same.
It is a little odd that out of all those people I still recall your face.

It is indeed strange that you recall my face... strange but pleasing in a very self centered kind of way!

TV was definitely a hot issue and continued to be when I entered TBC the following fall. :gclock I guess we could say the pendulum does swing.

Having been married for 42 years, you are obviously a little older than my 48+ years so I am having a little difficulty figuring out who you may be. You are obviously VERY close to some VERY wonderful people so you must be alright!

Perhaps in time you will reveal yourself to me privately. If not I will just enjoy life living in a wonderland.

Attachment 610Clyde Haney was a builder and never more capable than when he built memories in the hearts of the very young. He could be taken as a very stern and serious man but was actually kind and had a real sense of humor.

Very kind a sweet man. I agree he could be taken as stern....His brother-in-law was taken much the same way.

Yes Dave. Both men were probably misunderstood by many. I remember your Dad spoke up for me when I appeared before the District Board for my General License. Then at a Landmark when I had spoken in tandem with Randy Keyes one morning he sought me out and complimented me. That was a very high honor indeed and I treasure the memory. I want to post a photo next with your Dad and Aunt [Olive] and their parents.
