Interracial marriage. Perfectly acceptable. I heard a preacher (he was not OP by the way) say "God separated the nations for a reason!" that was his justification for blacks and white not marrying. My question was, so how does an American black man marrying an American white woman go against what you just said?
Heh... startling silence. Skin tone means nothing. Marry any saved Holy Ghost filled believer of your choice (as long as God leads you to that is).
I was at a conference just this summer, where the evangelist blasted anyone who preached against interracial marriage.
He was right!
One thing I have always been confused about is how do those who preach against interracial marriage, draw their lines.
Is someone who is half black and half white expected to find someone else of the same blood? Can they marry either race?
Seems like that is a very slippery slope.
not SERIOUSLY
BUT I was raised in a rather redneck atmosphere. Might have been in a preachers home but certain attitudes and words were not UNCOMMON.
when you are raised a certain way a bit of help from GOD does go a long way in helping someone learn a thing or two.

amen. didnt grow up in a preachers home, but I did grow up in the deep south in the 70's and 80's. God did open my eyes and thank God for that.
The answer to the question is.... NO....

I don't think it's wrong, but you need to look at a few things. Cultural differences may cause problems and you would need to get used to some things. Other than that I think its fine.

The cultural thing is always a seemingly valid reason to think about when discussing this subject. Except, it applies in ANY relationship. My wife's family culture is/was much different then mine.

Wow, that is a way to look at it, never thought of it in that way.

Same here - I thought, "I should have just married a Mexican!" It couldn't have been much different! (ok, I'm exaggerating )
