I'm not suggesting anything. I was simply informing those not in the know because they don't watch TV or movies, or follow what is happening in the "world" that the "world" doesn't see chest hair as something attractive now-a-days.
I don't agree with those who consider it a "gay" practice. It's simply men, wanting to be seen as attractive to the opposite sex, doing what is socially expected of them to be trendy.
It's interesting the way people process trends. In this thread removing chest hair has been expressed as "gay", yet, I have heard preachers say that someone NOT removing facial hair (mustache) is "gay".

Thank you for the explanation. I think that effeminate is the better word, for me.
Never heard a man deemed "gay" by having facial hair. lol
Somehow the "shaved" chest just feels a bit alarming to me. I don't know why. lol
I'm not used to men "preening". lol My husband dresses well, but he doesn't preen. Sometimes he puts on his hat and says, "I fixed my hair, let's go."
This is a funny story. We were attending my MIL's funeral a couple of weeks ago, that isn't the funny part. Our oldest son had flown out from California and was getting dressed in the Master bedroom. Our daughter called him, from the living room, on his cell, and said, "Would you hurry up!! You get dressed like a girl!"

I have abeard. lol.
I agree some men do the chest thing due to trendy issues, since the women they are after like it. lol. But TO ME, I could not take that sort of thing. And my wife would agree wholehearetedly with me.

That is the thing that I hate!!! I'm not opposed to men taking care of themselves, but I live in an area (and I'm sure that it is not the only one) that has a ton of young men who are obsessed with their bodies. No, not gay men, straight men, who spend hours at the gym, tan, wax, even have plastic surgery (pec and calf implants, liposuction). I pity the poor women who have to live up to their standards, I cannot imagine living such a shallow life. The pressure must be incredible!
