I don't agree with those who consider it a "gay" practice. It's simply men, wanting to be seen as attractive to the opposite sex, doing what is socially expected of them to be trendy.
It's interesting the way people process trends. In this thread removing chest hair has been expressed as "gay", yet, I have heard preachers say that someone NOT removing facial hair (mustache) is "gay".

Never heard a man deemed "gay" by having facial hair. lol
Somehow the "shaved" chest just feels a bit alarming to me. I don't know why. lol
I'm not used to men "preening". lol My husband dresses well, but he doesn't preen. Sometimes he puts on his hat and says, "I fixed my hair, let's go."
This is a funny story. We were attending my MIL's funeral a couple of weeks ago, that isn't the funny part. Our oldest son had flown out from California and was getting dressed in the Master bedroom. Our daughter called him, from the living room, on his cell, and said, "Would you hurry up!! You get dressed like a girl!"
