When I thought, Hmmmm, this guys comments seem remarkably like others Ive sen so many times, I wonder if he is just another politically driven, double stand etc etc etc." So instead of running with that though and just assuming it was so, I asked questions that allow you to answer and clarify.
I did not just assume the negative and place you in that stereotype, I asked instead, not someone else about you, but you directly.
The difference I see, is that when the thought ran through your mind "This guy is insinuating all this negativity falsely" You then just assumed it was so, instead of digging into it to find out for sure. That's why I made the comment that it makes one wonder about your spirit.
Note, even knowing that, I did not even say "you have a negative or bad spirit" I said it makes me wonder about it.
I try, (I don't always succeed LOL) to think first and find out for sure before assuming and making comments on assumptions. Every time I've seceded in that, I'm very grateful I did so.

Exactly. And I could tell by the tone of your questions what you were thinking which is why I said, "Look, I know what you're getting at."
You thought it, I said it.
But regardless.....I don't like the propensity to disrespectfulness among many Christians towards our government leaders. It's extremely clear in the New Testament and in early church history that "The Church" didn't give a rip about what government did. They followed it, respected it, prayed for it, and at times, died at the hands of government. But with the advent of groups like "The Moral Majority", we as Christians have become comfortable with tearing down our leaders by name.
Historically, the movement of Jesus Christ has never prospered so greatly as when it was so greatly opposed by established government.
If something is done in our modern Christian culture, that the culture doesn't like, we go nuts with petition campaigns and voter registration drives. But when Jesus was crucified, the ultimate anti-Christian act, no one organized a voter drive or attempted to bring down the government. What did they do? They turned the world upside down by taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Let's say an establishment of "ill-repute" comes to town. There are two ways to bring it down....1) Protest, boycott, do petitions, etc., or 2) Turn the establishment into a mission field, bring the customers to faith in Christ and the establishment of "ill-repute' will be forced to close because of lack of customers.
I said all this earlier and Ferd said I was "preaching at him" and Admin even publicly rebuked me. But history can't be re-written on this subject.

It is vile enough that most right thinking people will understand the depth of disgust I feel when I say it.
the word is
Pelosi!
what a horrible miserable word.
Oh Pelosi!
That is just a stinking pile of Pelosi
go to Pelosi!
see, no sin, clear communiation and clearly vulgar!

Why, thank you! Should I pick a fight and ask what the 1% would be or should I just be happy with the 99%? ; )
Naw....really, in my humble, tiny, little opinion, I just think it's a mistake when we do these flag-waving, Bible-thumping celebrations of our "Nation that was founded on Christian principles." For the most part, very few of our founding fathers were Christians. Deists? Yes, they were. Christians? No way.
Thomas Jefferson even assembled a Bible in which he removed most all of the things that we, as Christ-followers, hold dear.
Would we REALLY want a modern-day government that operated by the standards and morals of our founding fathers? I, for one, wouldn't want that.
When we attempt to change society through law, we should realize that the Old Testament has already proven that doesn't work. We cannot legislate righteousness.
I better stop...I'm probably as passionate about this as D. James Kennedy was from the other side!

He's my governor! And considering the cards he's been dealt, I think he's done an excellent job.
As far as what I say when I need an outlet? Mmmmm......I can't print that!! ; )

Well, maybe I should. What's your opinion of the whole "founding fathers" thing?

I haven't read much about them except that they were Deists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism
This could be educational for us all. You may be surprised. Some folks might agree with you and some might react strongly to your POV. Paul hoped to win all but knew it would only be some.
