I couldn't find anything to corroborate your 'it's simply a proven fact' statement when I googled it, but I'll help you out. I'm going to Golden Corral tonight with friends and I will take pics of people at the buffet and I might even ask a few if they eat more at the buffet than at home and let you know what I find out.
