You have hit upon an important thought. People need to find that place where they respect and trust the office of Pastor but not blindly.
Some people, especially those who have been "burned" by a bad apples in the past, tend to get cynical and look at all preachers with distrust and cynicism. That is just as wrong as the actions of a bad preacher himself.
I try to approach those in ministry with respect and admiration until proven otherwise. However I do not blindly trust any human being nor do I think God expects us to. People that do that sometime end up in far off African countries drinking Kool Aid laced with poison!
