If you have changed your standards out of rebellion or from a new since of "self fulfillment" then you may be following the wrong path. If you have changed your standards because you have God given convictions then you are probably on the right track.
I personally sense a greater anointing in my ministry because I can function without being concerned about how someone else is going to judge me. I am free of "man fear". My only concern is am I giving honor to the Lord of my life and that gives us great freedom in ministry.

I have recently found this to be true in my life. According to my previous church and those that attend, I am lost and going to hell because of how I have changed on the outside.
Interestingly enough, I would rather dress the way I used to dress, I actually like the look and feel more comfortable, but I believe that God wants me to NOT dress the UPC way in order to help those He has called me to help.
There is something to leaving father, mother and everyone you know and love to follow Jesus I read somewhere. Of course, some would think following men IS following Jesus and could care less about what the HS is speaking.
