Things That Aren't In The Bible...

"Plead the Blood" is a phrase you often hear during altar services. Not in the Bible, and... well, just exactly what does it mean to "Plead the Blood".

When I was young snot nosed teenaged preacher (who knew everything), I decided one day that I would use as my text the Scripture, "The Holy Ghost will not dwell in an unclean temple". I admitted I couldn't find it in the Bible (but was sure it was there), so proceeded to quote it verbatim. The pastor stood and stopped me in my tracks. He said, "If you can't find it in the Bible, you can't preach it here". Thats when I learned a valuable lesson: I didn't know everything. Thank God, I do now though. (hee-hee)
