I think part of his problem is that he looks at modern events or thoughts and tries to tie them in with Scripture from 1900 years ago (Revelation) and 2500 years ago (Daniel). Like red equals communism. A bear equals Russia. A lion equals England. Eagles wings equals United States.

Bro Baxter really waffled on the lion and eagle's wings picture in
Daniel 7. He said the lion was England and the Eagle's wings were the USA. He said that when IT was made to stand on its feet like a man and a man's heart was given to IT, that was the eagle's wings becoming an independent nation from England, and symbolized by UNCLE SAM, a MAN standing up. But the vision was the LION was made to stand like a man after being able to fly with eagle's wings. THE LION was given a man's heart and could not fly any more in its former glory.

My pastor (F.E. Curts) years ago said there was nothing new in the Book of Revelation, that we would find it all in the OT and then it was carried over into the New Testament. So, it is my understanding that whatever a lion, or eagle's wings, or leopard etc. was in Daniel it would also mean that in the Book of Revelation.
