Thank you Sister Alvear for posting. If you are still here - there is still some heaven here!
They can't find Harold Camping - hmmmm. Maybe the Lord took him - to get him to stop doing this to people! I hope he learned a lesson and will not try this again. It is sad that a man with the credibility that he did have with many people, would do something like this and he really did believe it. So Sad for him and his followers, especially the ones that gave away everything and spent all their money. Sad.
Maybe he will return their money???

Let us give praise and honor to God, who is greater that all the foolishness of this world!!!! I am with Paul (no I was not raptured yesterday) when he said, "To live is Christ, to die is gain...."
The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, He will complete all that He has purposed. Man is His masterpiece of creation, all of man's disfunction will be redeemed!!!!
All our pain, fear, sickness and failings will be redeemed for our good.
"Fear NOT, for I have overcome the world." Jesus

Did you guys really want to go?
I am going to tell you my honest feelings here. I did not want to go. I have heard this all my life and it makes me so uneasy. The fact is - we don't know who will go or how they will go or when or how it will all happen and I think it is the fear of the unknown that really bothers me about the Rapture theory. I have been a Pre-Millennialist all my life because that is what was drilled in me from a baby. JESUS IS COMING SOON! Messages & Interpretations from the time I was able to hear them - YEA, I SAY UNTO THEE, I AM COMING SOON AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT. BE YE READY!
I have heard that for 55 years and then this guy comes up and says it is today. Well, like it has been for 2000 years - it was NOT today! I just don't know what to think about the whole thing and I am being honest here. I have preached for 39 years and have preached the imminent return of the Lord all of those 39 years but...I don't know. I live for Him and do my best to witness and win people to the Lord Jesus Christ. But to scare them with YOU BETTER GET RIGHT THE LORD COULD COME TONIGHT???? I just can't do it.
Somebody might want to pray for me or help me here. The whole Prue-Trib, Mid-Trib, Post-Trib doctrines all seem way too out there! I just don't know anymore and I enjoy living and loving my family and my God in every way that I can. I really don't want to go to a place I have no clue about - well, at least while I am alive! If I died... now that would be another deal - I would certainly want to and expect to go to Heaven immediately! No soul sleep or purgatory or waiting somewhere in limbo to go! If I did - I WANT TO BE IN HEAVEN THE NEXT SECOND!
I need to go to bed - tired and rambling I think! God bless you all and I am really glad we are all still here! I love you all!
Thanks Bishop for your honesty. I join you in your thoughts and your feelings.
I'm kinda like the guy at church. When the preacher asked who all wanted to go to Heaven he didn't raise his hand. The preacher said, "hey Brother, do you not want to go to Heaven?" ... "Oh sure, but I thought you were getting up a trip today."
In response to your inquiries about WV Grant. He was in Dallas in the mid-sixties at Souls Harbor. I attended a meeting at Souls Harbor, that he had with William Branham, during the mid-sixties. I think he had been there for awhile. So I would say he probably came to the area in the early sixties.

Yes, he was. I sang for them at Souls Harbor in the late 60's, early 70's.

Oh, yes. I realize it's SO Christian to hope for more and more time so that more and more unsaved people see the light. However, if God is Perfect and Good, then whatever "boom" He lowers upon the world, whenever, is perfect and good and well timed. Even if I end up on the wrong side of judgment, God's will is more important than my self interests. To SEE God personally destroy evil--what relief.

Me neither. The various explanations used to be exciting, but now all seem debate positions with little practical application to life. One practical thing is sometimes overlooked--Rev. 1:3. "Blessed is he who reads ALOUD the words of the prophecy..."
Also, has anyone really figured out 666 yet? Rev. 13:18 implies that if you have wisdom, you should be able to! RSV: "This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred sixty-six."
