Re: Marxism - America
In giving, someone sees a need in someones life and gives them something, whether $, food, or other necessity. The person receiving the charity sees the person who received it or at least knows a specific individual donated it. This receiver is usually thankful and tends to use these resources more wisely because they know someone else worked for them.
In socialism/redistribution, a 3rd party (government) takes money then turns around and gives it to others whether they need it or not (high fraud rates). The receiver thanks (if they thank anyone) government for giving it to them. They continue to hate the person who government took the money from in the first place because of pure envy. They then vote for the politician who voted for legislation confiscating money from the "haves" to give to the "have nots" or those who CLAIM to be "have nots". These same people also see a need but always think the person who makes a nickle more an hour then them should be the ones responsible for meeting those needs. Never them.
Socialism. The perfect storm when the winds of greed and guilt meet overhead and form a twister.
