Re: Baptist Pastor Shot In Pulpit Today

Isn't it strange how so many will fight to the death over standards (both pro and con) but not obey something Jesus Himself commanded. We are like lambs to the slaughter. Being a Christian has cost untold numbers of people their lives. Many under persecution answered not again their accusers, their families paid a dear price.

I believe that when you're sold out to Christ... violence isn't an option. I wanted a gun for home defense when I was married. My wife was a Christian. She gave me a two hour lecture on being a Christian and counting the cost. She told me that she didn't want me to kill to protect her, she was a Christian and prepared to die in obedience if necessary. So, I didn't buy the gun. We decided to trust G-O-D and not the G-U-N.
