Re: Windows 7 or Vista

Is it possible to upgrade from XP to Windows 7 on my old computer? I am going to try to get it repaired and see why it won't start.

By buying an upgrade disk, but you can pray that nothing goes wrong. (Never came across an upgrade problem before.)

Well, there ARE some who feel that only God is allowed to do, or not do, certain things.

Maybe if it is HIS will, the computer will boot up tomorrow morning with a mint copy of Windows 7 on it with no human intervention required.

Sure, God COULD do that...........

And to try it yourself, well, that would be "playing God"!

Google "Windows 7 Upgrade advisor" and download it from the Microsoft web site. It'll look at your system and tell you if it'll run Win 7 and also problems you may have with drivers and such.

Re: Windows 7 or Vista

Cindy, upgrading to Windows 7 is going to cost over $100. I think you would be better off saving for a new $279 - $299 computer with 7 already on it.

The average hard drive only lasts about 5 years so you are just asking for trouble to invest any $$ in keeping that old of a computer running.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
