God made breasts to feed babies. The fact the men find them hot is probably a hold over of some mommy love thing  I nursed all my kids back in the day when it was not popular for women of middle class and above because from a medical standpoint there is NOTHING more healthy for baby or mom.
Women burn an additional 400 calories a day while breast feeding so it gets that baby weight off quick. Any man that wants strong healthy kids and a nice thin wife who is not still carrying 20 pounds of 'baby fat' when the kid is going into junior high school should encourage his wife to breast feed.
Women already feel a little uncomfortable with it and shaming or suggesting that a woman is an exhibitionist is a sure way to either make her go all militant and hang her boobs out everywhere or just give up depending on how much she is invested or how strong she is.
Let's be nice to our mothers, they have plenty to deal with already without men- who will never be responsible for choosing their infants nutrition- being judgmental. |
No, I have no problem with feeding in public, but I do happen to be most at ease when every one at table is appropriately covered (which can be done even during the feeding time, which is what led to this whole discussion anyway).
