the fruit was not evil, the act of disobeying God was evil. niether adam and eve was possed with the devil nore does it ever say that the seperent put a seed in eve and thus cain was born.
It does say that adam fathered a child. who when born was named cain. Im still not sure how peopl eget the devil seed in eve there is nothing linking to or relating to it. now if you want to talk about spiritually then i can understand cause scripture talks about the fallen state of man.
But never does it imply that satan plants a seed in eve to produce cain.

This is where it is obtained from:
Gen 3:15
And I will put enmity between
thee and
the woman, and between
thy seed and
her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Looking at what the bible says here, we have four objects in focus:
1. Thee - referring to the serpent (literal)
2. The woman - referring to Eve (literal)
3. Thy seed - referring to the offspring of the serpent (literal???)
4. her seed - referring to the offspring of Eve (literal)
So the question is who/what is the offspring of the serpent that is at enmity with the offspring of the woman?
As to Branham's belief, he believed that the bible referring to Cain as being of the wicked one means his father was the devil.
1 John 3:12
Not as
Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
Keep in mind that ALL of us are/were sinners (including Cain and Abel), so why would the bible refer to Cain as being of the wicked one?
Anyhow, I'm interested in what people think the seed of the serpent is...
