I take it you apply the same principle to section of speaking in tongues and healing the sick and casting out devils. The reason why we have so many denominations is because of selective application of scripture. If I apply your reasoning for the verse in Mark 16, I would think that casting out demons, healing the sick, speaking in tongues should not be done intentionally. The problem is people apply different principles to the part they feel uncomfortable with.
