We've been in the Apostolic Church for 33 years. The "Pipe Dream" of healing is a dangerous one. More people have walked away from our Movement because they didn’t receive their “Healing”.
When a father molests a child and sends the photographs to a Porn magazine for publication, certain people never get over this type of abuse. The reason; they are scars, and scars never go away, especially when these pictures still might be in circulation.
When my wife cries, telling me about how her father sexually abused her when she was an infant and until she was 9, along with her 2 brothers, my only response has been to comfort her.
We've been married 31 years and she is still telling me about things that happened to her that I never knew about. The depth of damage in her soul is something I will never understand or reach, and her (complete) healing will come when this life is over.
